Documentation
Reference material for using Art Collective — starting with where the platform is available for artists and collectors.
Buying as a Collector
You can buy on Art Collective from almost anywhere in the world. Checkout accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and all major card networks, and your card can be issued in any country those networks operate in. Prices can be shown and charged in your local currency.
The only hard limits are sanctions lists and a small number of countries our payment provider can't process cards from. If your card is declined at checkout and you believe it shouldn't be, please contact support.
Selling as an Artist
To sell on Art Collective, your artist account needs to be connected to a payout destination so we can send you the proceeds of each sale. Payouts are handled by Stripe Connect, and Stripe only supports payouts to a specific set of countries.
This means the list of countries we can onboard artists in is shorter than the list of countries collectors can buy from. The gap is a Stripe constraint, not ours — it exists because each destination country requires local banking partnerships, regulatory clearance and tax integration.

Why is my country not supported?
If you're trying to onboard as an artist and don't see your country in the dropdown, it's because Stripe Connect doesn't yet offer payouts to local bank accounts in that country. Examples of countries that are not currently supported include Israel, Argentina, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, South Korea, Colombia and most of Africa outside of a handful of recently added recipient-only countries.
Some countries that collectors can buy from aren't available for artists to sell into — that's the asymmetry described above.
What if I'm in an unsupported country?
A few options exist:
- If you have a registered business or personal bank account in a supported country, you can onboard using that entity. Make sure this is consistent with your local tax rules.
- Keep an eye on this page — Stripe has been steadily expanding coverage, with new countries added every few months.
- Contact support and let us know which country you're in. We track these requests and prioritise regions where there's clear artist demand.
